The national federation of farmers of sierra Leone (NaFFSL) is the leading farmer-led organization representing farmers and farmer-based organizations across Sierra Leone. Originally established in 1987 as the National Association of Farmers of Sierra Leone (NAFSL). The Organization was Transformed into the National Federation of Farmers of Sierra Leone (NaFFSL) in 2010 to reflect it expanded mandate as the apex body for farmer nationwide. NaFFSL stands as the unified voice of farmers across Sierra Leone, representing the collective aspirations and interests of the agricultural community.

OUR MANDATE

Advocacy and Representation

Act as the voice of farmers in Sierra Leone, advocating for policies and initiatives that support the needs and rights of farmers. Represent farmers' interests at national and international forums, collaborating with government bodies, NGOs, and other stakeholders.

Collaboration and Partnerships

Collaborate with governmental and non-governmental organizations, research institutions, and the private sector to create synergies for the development of the agricultural sector. Form partnerships that facilitate access to resources, technology, and markets for farmers.

Farmers' Welfare

Work towards improving the socio-economic conditions of farmers, addressing issues such as access to credit, healthcare, and social services. Implement initiatives that promote gender equality and the inclusion of marginalized groups in agriculture.

Market Access and Value Chain Development

Facilitate market linkages for farmers, promoting fair trade practices and ensuring that farmers receive a fair share of the value chain. Support the development of agricultural value chains to enhance the competitiveness of farmers in local and global markets.
